Project 1:
For this project, we were to analyse a current building and propose a way to improve the internal environment of that building. We were separated into groups of 6. Our given building is Kuala Sepetang Charcoal Factory owned by Mr. Chuah.
The original building is hot and stuffy due to the kilns. The ventilation inside is not very good as the smoke is trapped in the building. Below is the analysis and proposed design of the charcoal factory of my group.

Through this project, I learned how to read sun path diagram and wind rose of a place and able to do analysis after reading them. I am also able to understand how passive design can affect a building. It is very important utilize design to create a space that is thermally comfortable to all users.
